Vienna, January 17, 1977. The badly battered corpse of an American is found. During the investigation, the Austrian federal police discovered a code card. February 2, 1977. A team of CIA agents arrive at Vienna-Schwechat Airport. The "White Bee" mission begins. Vienna Connection is a cooperative deduction game set during the Cold War era. Players lead a team of CIA agents conducting covert operations across Central Europe, gathering intel, tracking leads and analyzing data to complete a variety of missions.
Inspired by true events, Vienna Connection is based on the investigation system from Detective - A Crime Board Game. Instead of using the digital Antares database, however, the detective work is done in the proper analog way. The players have a stack of files with almost 100 document pages at their disposal. The fascinating story takes the CIA team to four Central European countries over the course of four missions.
